Being a guest of Tenuta Rocca di Montemassi can also involve the visit of the Museum of Rural Civilization: a place created in order to witness the most authentic traditions of rural culture.
The Museum represents a rich collection, which is the result of a great search for objects and tools related to the farming world and its traditions.
The project was curated by Prof. Mauro Zocchetta, Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice and expert in theater set design and museum set-up.
The Museum consists of over 3000 pieces of different historical periods, from 1700 to the World War II, and it tells the peasant lifestyle that preceded the process of modern industrialization.
The journey into the agricultural world of the past develops along a path that describes the agricultural works in different production fields: the wine production, the winery process, the field work and the various aspects of the domestic economy.

A visit to the Museum of Rural Civilization of Rocca di Montemassi is a combined experience of rural places, knowledge of culture and perception of history.
