"The project 'The charm of the ruins' - continues Marretti - saw the spaces of the most important archaeological sites in the Maremma and Tuscany staged and, over a period of more than twenty years, the most important myths, poems and tragedies of Western tradition and beyond. The myth, the epic, the tragedy, the ancient comedy, have come back to life and given new life to certain places, becoming a peculiar job - think of the use of spaces in daytime and without alterations that the Company makes, of places, even inaccessible , hard at times, but with an undisputed charm - and also the most loved of this group of Maremma artists.
The passion for history, for antiquity, for the territory, has linked the name of the Company to many projects in this area and among the most recent and important is the 'Voices of History' project. 'A two thousand years long night', title of the second appointment of the season, is above all an experience of rediscovery of the places and finds and characters that are linked to the history of the town of Saturnia, expertly conducted by the director of the Civic Museums Massimo Cardosa , also director of the review, now in its fourth edition. At the Teatro Studio, the task of evoking, almost in filigree, characters, memories, stories to give voice to the stones. Orlando, Margherita Aldobrandeschi, the traveler Dennis, the common stories of common people traced in the tombstones, the suggestion of corners and artifacts, become forms, words, sounds, songs, aimed at giving a breath of life, to restore flesh and voice to those who it passed to those who lived, to those who worked before us ”.
