After the long months of lock down from 5 June, the Magma Museum in Follonica reopened its doors in the former Ilva area in compliance with the anti-Covid-19 safety standards. Meanwhile, two innovations: as emerged from the analysis on the needs and desires of many users, with the entry into force of the summer timetable (from 16 June), the Magma will also be open in the morning on Wednesday and Sunday (9.30 - 12.30 and 16.30 - 19.30). The other days, the usual evening / night enjoyment is scheduled from 17.30 to 23.30.
"We plan to organize activities for families and tourists also for this summer - explain the museum managers - theme guided tours, educational and inclusive workshops, exhibitions and events that will enhance the relationship between the Museum and the Factory Village where it is inserted and with the city of Follonica as a whole, so as to manage the incoming flows and at the same time encourage outdoor activities ".
The other novelty, just to show that Magma, a museum that has obtained national and European recognition, is however first of all a museum born from and for the community of Follonica: for all residents, admission will be free until July 31.
The rules for entering are few and simple, but important: the use of the mask and the maintenance of the safety distance are mandatory; also at the entrance the body temperature could be verified.
