Pitigliano: "Author spaces. Museum readings… tasting”

"Author spaces. Readings at the Museum… tasting ”, is an event aimed at expanding the cultural offer of the Alberto Manzi di Pitigliano open-air archaeological museum which already includes free / guided visits, conferences and educational workshops for children, with the presentation of books on archaeological themes and the tasting of products that are an expression of territorial excellence. With this initiative, it will be the writers and publishers who will present their editorial product in synergy with the local wine and gastronomy companies.

The initiative, which is part of the Regional Nights of Archeology program, will take place in the evening every Friday from 10 to 31 July from approximately 18.00 to 20.30, is completely free and aimed at a varied public that includes both the tourist, Italian and foreigner visiting the tuff area, the enthusiast, and finally the sector expert. The program of the meetings includes Friday 10 July with Giorgio Franchetti author of "At the table with the ancient Romans", Hephaestus editions, Friday 17 Marzio Miam "Tevere controcorrente" Neri Pozza Editore, Friday 24 Alessandro Mandolesi author of "Gitanti d'Etruria, viaggio among the princely tumoli ”, publisher All'insegna del Giglio and finally on Friday 31 July Patrizio Nissirio author of the book“ Silenzio ”by ensemble publisher.

 The presentation and service of wines and gastronomic products will be handled by the Sommeliers of A.I.S. Grosseto delegation that sponsors all the cultural initiatives of the Pitigliano Civic Archaeological Museums. The sale of the products and books presented is allowed within the event.
