The Fortress Roccaccia di Montevitozzo
or Rocca di Monte Vitozzo
is located in one of the highest places of the mountain, precisely at 926 m. above sea level.
is surrounded by an enchanting landscape of chestnut and beech trees, fields and water springs. Many centuries ago, this territory witnessed battles and conquests.

From the ruins of the Roccaccia
you can enjoy a breath-taking view of the surrounding valleys and the sea.
is located in the Monte Penna Natural Reserve. Walking through the Reserve along the many forest paths and unpaved roads, you can also meet wild horses and cows. Moreover, there are many picnic areas and a small lake fed by spring water.
Trekking enthusiasts and nature lovers can’t miss this experience.
